TCI Blog: Communicating New TCI Information

New Discussion Groups

This month the TCI discussion groups got a facelift. The goal of redesigning the discussion groups was to build a better sense of community and to provide more organization to post specific lesson tips and questions. Please take the time to visit our discussion groups. To whet your appetite, here are just some of the things you'll discover:

Member List: Allows you to see and read about other members. We highly encourage each of you to upload a photo of yourself and your biography. This will foster a greater sense of community.

New Co-moderator: Please welcome Steve Innamarato as our Classroom Technology co-moderator. Steve is a high school teacher in Philadelphia and has spent much of 2008 piloting TeachTCI and LearnTCI. Steve will be a great resource in answering any questions you may have about our new technology.

Program-specific Discussion Groups: Now you can post a specific lesson tip, question, or suggestion by program/chapter. So if you have a great insight on how to enhance a particular TCI lesson, we want to hear from you. Share your teacher genius.

If you've visited us on the Web lately, you know that we redesigned the site in December. If you haven't seen the revamped Web site, please visit us at www.teachtci.com. You'll see that information is easier to find . . . whether it be the new TCI Community page with our Correlations Database and other state-specific information or our K-12 Program pages. We invite you to take some time and explore. We hope you like the new site.

Meet Us at Spring Professional Conferences

TCI Trainers are already packing their bags in anticipation of visiting some exciting locations this spring. First on the itinerary is New York to kick off the spring professional conference season. We'll be in the full swing of things this February and March, as we go on to professional conferences in California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio. In April we'll wrap up the spring professional conference season in Colorado, Illinois, and New York (again!).
